About me

I'm Dion Sherifi, an AI-focused full-stack developer from Kosovo, with podium finishes across five hackathons including Ferizaj Code Fest and JunctionX. I love turning ideas into real, working products — especially the kind of tools people actually use day to day.

I'm most at home in PHP & MySQL, where I build the backend logic and data layer for full applications. On the frontend I work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, React Native and WordPress.

I'm currently open to freelance work and collaboration. If you have an idea you want shipped, let's talk.

DS Banking

Mobile App

DS Banking is a React Native mobile banking app on a PHP and MySQL backend, covering balances, secure transfers, transaction history and phone top-ups. NOVA — an AI model I trained specifically for this app — breaks down how you spend, with gamification layered on top. 1st Place in the React Native Category and selected best project at Digital School.

SproutSync

Web App

SproutSync is a plant-care web app running on hardware we designed and built ourselves. An AI model we trained identifies the plant from a photo and diagnoses its health against live sensor readings, with gamification — XP, levels and a daily game — on top. 2nd Place at JunctionX Junior and Top 10 at BuildAct.

Web App

VenueSphere is a booking platform for event spaces — wedding halls, conference rooms, coworking and an esports arena. You walk each room in 3D and arrange the furniture, or describe your event in plain language and let the AI — a model I trained specifically for this platform — match it to a room and lay it out.

HumanityConnect

Web App

HumanityConnect connects volunteers with organisations running humanitarian work — food for the homeless, books for schools, animal protection and community support. It tracks your hours, points and achievements, and issues a PDF certificate for every activity you complete. Finalist at Champion Trials, a 48-hour hackathon with over 600 applicants.
